Subjective comments about the latest World Rugby Rankings

After a frenzy of activity in November, December, as usual, was a very quiet month,
with just one match between ranked teams.  However, due to a significant match from
December 2017 (a win by Wales over South Africa) being now too old to count towards the
rankings, there was a change in positions 5 through 9 this month.
